Paramotor – Roses have torns

Happy New Year… I am not sure if I have constant readers here but I know for sure that my dearly “lovely bombastic loyal babes” friends will read this. Babes … you babes rule! thank you for just being who you are.

2014 has gone … a very challenging year for us Malaysians indeed, we mourned … we cried … we grieved … we stand again with tears still wet on our cheeks… and we stand up tall and high again, stronger than before … I know I did.  I refused to complain …. and I refused to be associated with people who love … love … love to complain. The last time that I checked … I had none as I ditched those people the minute I could smell their ‘voice’. I am being mean …I know … but I just don’t care anymore.

Coincidently … my favorite blogger Joshua Becker of ‘Becoming Minimalist’ blogs about – ‘How to complain less’. Yes … you can read it here. I took it as a reminder to myself to stop complaining about life and rejoice LIFE instead. Kinda like his quote of the day –“You can complain because roses have thorns, or you can rejoice because thorns have roses.” by Tom Wilson.

Enough complaining about complainers … life goes on and on.

Cloud Rider 2
Flying over Kundang, Rawang air space

2015 is here.

I spent my New Year morning (01-01-2015) photographing landscapes while hovering around the air space of Kundang, Rawang Selangor with my PPG pilot friends.

Amazingly refreshing experience … I love it to the bone!

Yeah … I took paramotor solo fly training in January 2014 and had my first maiden flight in March 2014. I had several solo flights after that before I decided to buy my own wing and engine. Paramotoring is not an easy peasy thing to do especially for a very lightweight girl like me. I need more than my ‘bunny energizer’ energy and some gruesome ground training to be able to master taking off and landing safely on the ground. And, you need discipline and great mental alertness to make sure a safe flight.

To cut a story short … as of now, I don’t have that credibility yet. It might take me years to achieve that … I think so.

Since I love being on air so much … I opted to join a fun flying group called Janjifly as their flying photographer. I shoot them while flying together in a group. At the same time, I got to explore my photography curiosity (shoot je anything that pleases my eyes).

Jom …. explore the world of flying with me, my PPG friends and my D800/ D800E. I have the feeling that I will be doing this a lot in 2015.

In Sha Allah

It rained heavily the night before and we had super cloudy sky in the morning. Kinda like it though as cloudy and misty could create a sense of drama to my photos. We flew high that day … up high above the cloud near to 1000 ft but some of our daring pilots decided to fly as high as 1500 ft.

It was a different flying adventure with experience PPG pilots. They have the confidence.

My second time flying here in Kundang, Rawang with them. They hover around the area with their canopy like wings. Colourful and fully inflated wing always fascinate the eyes. The air space looks like a giant playground to me. Am sharing with all of you some of the playful moment that I took with the pilots.

Honestly, the more time I spent with the pilots flying and editing their photos the more I wanted to fly solo again. This type of sport could help to train your brain to stay focus, to trust your instinct more than anything else, to slow down a bit and listen more to your inner-self, to stop being rigid and have fun with your life and to be that little “peter pan” that never grow old lol.

Pray hard, play hard, work hard …

And lastly … as at now, I have nothing to complaint about … thank you 😉

Cheers

MM
